UCLA Health and the University of California Health as a system continues to leverage our scale for value. As medical supplies and services continue to rise, each of the five Medical Centers in UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Los Angeles, UC San Diego and UC San Francisco have made a cohesive, conscientious effort to reduce spend and find cost savings. Thus, as a part of the UC Health staff and team, please use the links below to record any potential cost savings projects and ideas.
Please note that this is a separate form used to log projects and initiatives that may have been recently conceptualize or work in progress. These records will not be entered into the official UC Health Cost Savings Tracker, used for dashboards and reporting, until they are ready to be implemented and realized. If you would like to skip this unofficial Idea Tracker, please click here to enter into the official UC Health Cost Savings Tracker.
If your department has identified a new cost-savings initiative or opportunity, submit a new record into the Cost Savings Initiative Tracker - Submission Form via the link below.
If your department has already logged a cost-savings initiative or opportunity, please update the existing record via the link below. You will need the control number given to you in your acknowledgment email sent after original submission. Please note that if you close a cost-savings initiative or opportunity record via the Completion Check Box field, please move your initiative to the official UC Health Cost Savings Tracker per the fourth bullet point on this page.
If you would like to view all cost-savings initiatives entered into the database, please use the link below. You may sort the listings by clicking on a specific column header. Users may also export the data into Microsoft Excel by clicking on the "Download Data" button at the very top of the page.
If you have any technical issues with the website or forms, please contact Victor Banh by email at VBanh@mednet.ucla.edu.
IMPORTANT: please note that there is no save feature in the Cost Savings Initiative (Projects) Portal. Prior to beginning your form submission, please have all necessary information to expedite the entry process. The links above are intended for UC Health only and will require the correct username and password to login.
NOTE: the Cost Savings Initiative (Projects) Portal has changed and now includes UC Health initiatives. Please contact Victor Banh via the email above with any questions regarding the new data fields or if you would like to schedule training to walk through the Entry Form and Update Form.
