UCLA Health and its hospitals strive to maintain nation-leading patient care. Our goal is to provide cutting-edge technology and minimize costs for optimal outcomes. This multidisciplinary effort is a partnership between clinical departments, support services, and Procurement and Strategic Sourcing. Together, we have created a Cost Savings Tracking portal to monitor these initiatives.
Please select the appropriate links below to enter/update/view cost-saving initiatives that UCLA Health departments have realized and/or implemented for a particular fiscal year.
If your department has realized a new cost-savings initiative, submit a new record into the Department Cost Savings Tracking database via the link below. Information needed in this form include: the initiative title & description, the start date of the initiative, and the estimated current annual spend & estimated fiscal year savings.
If your department has already submitted a Cost Savings Tracking record and began implementing the initiative, please update the existing record. You will need the control number given to you in your acknowledgment email sent after original submission. Information required in this form include: the estimated completion date, the implementation date, and the final fiscal year savings.
If you would like to view all cost-savings initiatives entered into the database, please use the link below. You may sort the listings by clicking on a specific column header. Users may also export the data into Microsoft Excel by clicking on the "Download Data" button at the very top of the page.
If you have any technical issues with the website or forms, please contact Victor Banh by email at VBanh@mednet.ucla.edu.
IMPORTANT: please note that there is no save feature in the Cost Savings Tracking Portal. Prior to beginning your form submission, please have all necessary information to expedite the entry process. The links above are intended for UC Health only and will require the correct username and password to login.
NOTE: the Cost Savings Tracking Portal has changed and now includes UC Health initiatives. Please contact Victor Banh via the email above with any questions regarding the new data fields or if you would like to schedule training to walk through the Entry Form and Search Report/Update Form.
